24th October 2012... Malaysian Retailer-Chains Association (MRCA) organized their 20th Anniversary & Awards Banquet at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. Maarij Development, being one of the Associate Members and sponsor for the event, made its presence felt at the event by exhibiting its Scaled Model and providing useful information to members of MRCA who attended the banquet.

Our booth at the Banquet Foyer and many turned up for this event, including Great Vision Associates, Beauty Queens and VIPs...

There were many awards, some charity contributions and certificates were presented.

MRCA celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a huge birthday cake and toasting to everyone...

Mr Chuah Chong Boon, Executive Chairman of Maarij Development Sdn Bhd, received certificates for New Associate Member and Sponsor for the event.

Then the night went on with entertainment, lucky draws and fun-time...

24th August 2012... Newspaper advertisements and post-event reports of the MoU Signing Ceremony cum Raya Open House event appeared in several media, including Harakah, Sinar Harian, Sin Chew Jit Poh, Nanyang Daily and China Press.

22nd August 2012... A day before the MoU Signing Ceremony event, a Welcome Dinner was organized in appreciation to our Special Guest, Tan Sri Dato' Lee Shin Cheng, who took the trouble to free his busy schedule to come to Kota Bharu, to attend the event. Many Chinese community leaders and association heads were present to meet with Tan Sri, who's paying a re-visit to Kota Bharu after 2 decades.

Tan Sri was greeted at the KB Airport upon arrival by Mr Chuah Chong Boon, Mr James Tan and Mr Alan Tan.

23rd August 2012... Why is this date back-tracking? Yes, let's begin from the day we had our MOU Signing Ceremony cum Aidilfitri Open House event, which was held on the 5th day of Syawal (Hari Raya Aidilfitri). We had the honour of having Menteri Besar Kelantan, YAB Tuan Guru Dato' Bentara Setia Haji Nik Abdul Aziz bin Haji Nik Mat, fondly called Tok Guru, as our Guest-of-Honour. Meanwhile, we also had the presence of Tan Sri Dato' Lee Shin Cheng, Executive Chairman of IOI Corporation Berhad. Tan Sri represented the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) Development Council to grace this auspicious occasion.

The event started with a red carpet entrance for Tok Guru, with our VIPs greeting and receiving blessings from Tok Guru. The ceremony then proceeded with the formal delivery of speeches, starting with the welcome from our Executive Director and Event Organizing Chairman, Mr James Tan.

Next, Tan Sri Dato' Lee Shin Cheng commended the courage and commitment of Maarij Development to deliver the mega project, Tunjong Pavilion. He agrees that this is a wonderful development and will give his strong support to the realization of this landmark in the making for the East Coast.

Tok Guru gave his Raya blessing to all who turned up at the Raya Open House. He also praised the concept of this project and will also support the development of this lifestyle city for the betterment of the people in Kelantan.

After the speeches, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony took place with 7 organizations from the government agencies, corporate and non-governmental associations, to build and foster the spirit of "Partnership for Growth" with Tunjong Pavilion.

At the end of the ceremony, Tok Guru had to adjourn to his other invitations and left the venue. The rest of the guests and invited crowd had a hearty Raya lunch and visited our Sales Gallery to view the Show Unit and our Scaled Model of Tunjong Pavilion. Many interested investors took the opportunity to find out more about the project and made bookings to own units here at Tunjong Pavilion, with its very exciting returns offered.
